Track of the Day | Fatherson – End Of The World

Fatherson have released their new single ‘End Of The World’.

The track marks the first new music from the band in three years and was composed over Zoom during last spring’s lockdown.

Speaking of the single, the band said: “’End Of The World’ is about going through tough times and coming out the other side. Suddenly you realise that you’re actually fine. So what if someone doesn’t love you anymore? Never mind that life isn’t as it used to be. It’s definitely a bit tongue-in-cheek. If the world really was ending, you’d want to forget all the shit that’s been thrown at you and go out and have fun.”

The single release comes ahead of the band’s headline October dates including a show at Edinburgh’s Liquid Rooms on Wednesday 13th October.

‘End Of The World’ is a shimmering synth-soaked pop rock single that’s euphoric in both sound and lyrics. Sometimes we need to take a step back and realise what truly matters, go out, enjoy yourself and make the most of every day.
