Violet have released their new single ‘Shiver’.
The track is taken from the band’s forthcoming EP, due for release on November 22nd.
Later this month, the band will head to Glasgow’s King Tut’s Wah Wah Hut for a headline show on November 26th before heading to Newcastle (27th) and London (11th December).
Speaking of the single, the band said: “‘Shiver’ was the first song that we wrote for the EP and its working title til’ very last minute was big beat, which in all fairness, is a reasonable summary of the tune. It kind of was the catalyst for the whole EP and dictated a bit of a slight change in direction for us so it’s a little important to us. Got to get all ‘A Day in the Life’ on the middle-8 as well which was really fun.”
‘Shiver’ serves up an indie-pop treat that’s tinged with 90’s grunge thanks to frontman Luke Brickett’s vocal stylings. It may have a gritty edge but the genres seamlessly blend together creating a mesmerising track full of unexpected twists and turns.
